Needle & Thread Projects

Been playing around with a few things when the pain doesn't keep me down. I promise to add them with as best as I can instructions. LOL!

One day while my daughter was in high school, she took a parenting class & she learned how to sew. Yes, Parenting! Anyways she brought this beautiful black striped fabric home that she ironed on my initials & the flowers. It set in my drawer for a couple of years until recently when I got the idea to turn it into a cosmetics bags. As you see above it turned out well. I am not a pro & never claimed to be, I am self taught & learn something new on a daily basis! Yes it has some flaws just like ME, lol! I added a strip of fabric to the bottom to make it longer & added a zipper, backing & lining to it. I LOVE it & will enjoy it for as long as I can!

Got this idea from Deby over at So Sew Easy blog. I subscribe also to her tutorials on YouTube. Need to check it out. I will also add a tutorial for this wonderful, Zippererd Mini bag. (I'm on my phone) They are great for carrying Chapstick or extra cash on the go!  They're very simple to make & scrap busters to boot!
So Sew Easy

I've been sewing up some great bags & mending jeans, shirts, etc, while recuperating from my surgery. Here is one I absolutely fell in love with when I found it over on Craftsy! It is the Coco Bag by @ChrisWDesigns. I added the flap myself to this pattern & my handles just wouldn't corporate like hers.  It has a pocket on the inside & I added a pen holder pocket as well. Its a very simple bag to make & the pattern is offered free to download. I will be making another with some fabric I picked up recently!

Been adding zippers & hemming up some jeans for my sister. Some of the mendings!

This is one of my W.I.P.s (Works In Progress). I started it a couple Halloween's ago & then it ended up in a tote. I pulled it out & will be working on it again to hopefully get it finished.
